The Payroll Accountant will have the opportunity to showcase their payroll processing skills, handle the back-end reconciliations and accounting, and expand their skillset by assisting with additional accounting functions! Payroll Accountant Job Responsibilities:Implement, maintain, and review payroll systems and process salaries and various deductions including benefits, garnishments, and taxesPerform payroll reconciliations prior to transmission and validate confirmed reportsExecute accurate taxation of employer-paid benefitsEnsure federal, state, and local payroll complianceProcess garnishment and ensure complianceExecute and process time and attendanceProcess year-end reports including W-2 and W-2cGenerate financial and operational reports as requestedProcess manual checksAdjust and reconcile payroll entries and submit to Controller for approvalImport and upload files from HRAssist accounts receivable team with billing and collections as neededPayroll Accountant Job Requirements:Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business w/concentration in Accounting or FinanceGL and expense reporting experienceCPP preferredExperience in a small company, boutique firm, or non-profit - ideal candidate will be someone that comes from small place with the ability to "wear many hats"Must have multi state payroll experience to know the different tax requirements, and California is an absolute MUSTMust know benefits, 401K, and have experience working with HR teamsExperience processing payroll for salary and hourly employeesFind Us on Facebook!!Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
