Responsibilities

Treasury's headquarters is seeking a senior management analyst in business intelligence, financial process design, and oversight of financial activities. Analysts will be responsible for working with users to develop or refine financial processes and to create automated financial reporting (dashboards, interactive reports, etc.) that allow users to complete their jobs easier and more efficiently. In addition, analysts will utilize and design automated reporting that allows them to provide oversight of DO accounts and financial transactions.

As a part of this the employee will:

The employee will study, evaluate, and provide policy and procedural recommendations concerning internal administrative operations, organizational structures, and management initiatives.

The employee will perform assignments that are especially complex and regularly require reconciling conflicting technical viewpoints and guidance by recourse to underlying principles.

Conduct or coordinate major projects and long-and short-term strategic program plans. This involves preparing briefings for senior officials on project or program status for office management; developing strategies to resolve complex policy issues; and ensuring timely accomplishment of project or program goals and objectives.

Designs, evaluates, and recommends operational systems capable of monitoring program workload, performance, objectives, and accomplishments. Gathers data using a variety of techniques and statistical methodologies and performs analyses of information to determine problem areas, potential problems, and recommended solutions.

Analyzes and interprets legislative, regulatory, Departmental and other issuances for impact on programs. Determines changes, if any, needed to methods, procedures, processes and policies resulting from such issuances. Develops and coordinates changes as required.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Experience leading projects and long and short-term strategic program plans AND
-Experience evaluating operational system capable of monitoring program workloads, performance, objectives or accomplishments. AND
-Experience utilizing or developing accounting structures to ensure the proper interface of those items with the general ledger


Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Experience leading projects and long and short-term strategic program plans AND
-Experience designing and evaluating operational system capable of monitoring program workloads, performance, objectives or accomplishments. AND
-Experience completing financial analysis utilizing programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
