Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The Assistant Maintenance Dispatch Center Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of Maintenance Dispatch Coordinators and overseeing the coordination support to the Enforcement Technology Equipment Maintenance and Repair Program involving 24/7, 365-days shift operations.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Maintenance Dispatch Center Supervisor and be responsible for day-to-day management of the ILD Operations Center.
- Assist with the management and oversee the quality control of all incoming phone calls fielded by the Maintenance Dispatch Coordinators.
- Ensure that all maintenance work orders are properly planned and scheduled so that the best support is provided.
- Act as the MDC Supervisor when the MDC Supervisor is not available
- Work with various functional areas in evaluating existing processes and identifying process improvement opportunities to drive business results (i.e. cost reductions, operational efficiencies, and adequate controls, etc.).
- Ensure employees, in functional areas, follow established procedures and generate finished work products under time and budgetary constraints and ensure service yields the expected outcome and meets established goals.
- Assist in definition of business requirements, analysis of business case, and development of project plans.
- Anticipate problems and work to mitigate risk.
- Interface with contract managers and customers.
- Receive and prioritize service calls for assistance from various field activities and dispatch to technicians and vendors, for repair.
- Perform analysis of ETP database for accuracy and follow-up of existing and historical trouble calls.
- Provide reports on ETP Helpdesk maintenance, inventory and supply chain activities.
- Coordinate with multiple third-party vendors for quality and timely repairs activities.
- Review and submit Operational Status Reports.
- Oversee a team of Maintenance Dispatch Coordinators.
- Manage and coordinate the operations center personnel work schedule.
- Be responsible for the overall direction, development and evaluation of twelve team members by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws.
- Supervise, schedule, train, mentor, assist staff, and make recommendations.
- Provide guidance for professional development.
- Be responsible for subordinate employees' performance reviews.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related discipline
- 4+ years of education and experience may be substituted for a degree
- 8+ years of experience is required in organizing, directing, and managing contract logistics and maintenance operations support functions and multiple complex and inter-related project task
- 3+ years related maintenance support experience preferably in a large scale contracting environment
- CBP Background Investigation (BI) required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and reasoning skills
- Ability to plan, organize, schedule and direct varied programs and tasks involved within the daily activities of the contract
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Ability to demonstrate project management skills
- Ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Have a strong work ethic, ability to be a self-starter, and the desire to work and succeed in a rigorous and challenging dynamic business environment
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level
