Our systems development teams support a wide range of systems and programs using DevOps and Agile best practices.As a Cyber Software Test Engineer you will support the systems development lifecycle through a variety of testing methodologies including Unit Testing, Test Automation, Functional, Acceptance, Performance, and Usability testing in an Agile environment. Duties of the Test Engineer include analyzing system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures including test and user cases; preparing for and conducting the data collection and analysis; and, reporting status and results. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation eg, Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area.NGCIMSMDCIMSBasic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.Educational / Years of experience required: BS Degree in a STEM field is required. An additional 4 years of experience on projects with similar processes may be substituted in lieu of degree.Core Competencies:To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below* 5+ years of Software and Systems Test Engineering experience on programs with similar software processes* Experience creating testing frameworks and automating test scenarios; experience identifying and reporting defects* Experience using test automation framework components and tools, such as Selenium, Jmeter, and load testing toolsSecurity Clearance Required: TS/SCI with PolygraphWillingness to Support/Learn:* Experience working in Agile engineering environment* Experience working in DevOps environment* Experience producing evaluation plans (metrics frameworks, scenarios/threads, timelines, requirements, Test & Evaluation cross-walks), analysis plans, data requirements, risk assessments, evaluation reports, status reports* Experience applying foundational concepts of testing, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and testing practices throughout SDLC* Experience translating requirements and user stories into functional test cases* Experience programming in Java* Experience writing and maintaining Linux shell scripts* Experience with RESTful services or other web APIs such as SwaggerNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
