As a JavaGrails Developer, you will be part of an agile delivery team supporting the development and enhancement of a custom JAVA based software application. The current technical environment includes Qualifications Experiencefamiliarity with Java EE, Spring, Tomcat, Redis, JPA (Hibernate), preferred Experience with RESTful Web Services preferred Experience with Jenkins, Git preferred Experience with GroovyGrails preferred Experience with jQuery preferred Experience developing applications in an agile environment Experience integrating web applications with SQL databases using Hibernate preferred Experience with cloud based architecture is desired Experience working within an Agile environment, 2 week sprints, JIRA, Kanban, etc. Responsibilities Builds and codes applications andor modules using languages such as GroovyGrails, Java, .NET, etc. Collaborates with our scrum team when troubleshooting, performing data requests and creating new enhancements for our client. Design, develop, and maintain code that meets requirements, is high quality, and performs efficiently and effectively to provide a great customer experience Incorporate standards and best practices, including performance, security, scalability, and maintainability Review and provide feedback on functional and technical requirements Contributing to improvements in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) utilizing practices such as test-driven development (TDD), static code analysis, code reviews, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated security scanning. Understands SQL queries and reporting and their potential impact on performance Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Maintains an awareness of new technologies and their applicability to improving the framework and business
