I: Job SummaryAs a critical member of the Information Technology team, serves as a strategic partner and primary liaison between IT and targeted business functions across our client. Possessing a high degree of business and technical acumen, able to facilitate decision making at the executive leadership level. Drive to address business needs including business growth, cost optimization, risk management, compliance and other organizational outcomes. Assess current business capabilities, envision and influence future capabilities, be a change agent to drive technology oriented business changes, support solution delivery and challenge ways of working to ensure genuine, tangible benefits.Targeted business units will include the enabling functions (Finance, HR, Legal, Corporate Compliance, Government Affairs) as well as Sales & Marketing.II: ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities(Strategic Planning) Establish and maintain strategic relationships with assigned business stakeholders and across IT. Develop a deep understanding of each business unit?s strategic objectives and operating models. Drive short and long term planning sessions to improve business capabilities.(Relationship Management) With the business, manage stakeholder satisfaction across IT delivery teams. Ensure stakeholder expectations are set and resolves disconnects through negotiation or governance mechanisms. With technology teams (applications, infrastructure, security, project managers, and other BRMs), work collaboratively to share knowledge and ultimately develop more fit-for-purpose, robust and scalable solutions.(Demand Management) Work with business stakeholders to proactively identify opportunities and coordinate with technology advisors for solution options. As a thought leader, leverage innovative solutions as appropriate for solutions. Maintain demand portfolio for targeted business functions.(Business Case Development) Collaborate with business stakeholders and contribute to the business case process by analyzing business value, benefits, risks, and estimated costs.(Prioritization) Understand and anticipate changes in the business to influence roadmap initiatives to meet desired future state. Lead prioritization of IT initiatives based on business needs/strategy, IT workload and budget. Collaborate with Head, IT BRM for overall global alignment and prioritization of IT initiatives.(Program/Project Management) Accountable as the IT lead of assigned projects for the targeted business functions. Collaborate with PMO to drive successful projects, and ensure outcome delivers agreed benefits.(SME) Leverage experience and best practices for targeted business areas and information systems to provide specialized knowledge across the network and add value to overall business objectives.(Advocate) Lead and may champion change management activities for assigned business functions with frequent communications. Ensures IT is are aware of key business changes and issues.DimensionsStrong and broad-based leadership skills from strategically minded to resourcefulness in working through others.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by those in this job. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties, and other duties may be assigned.III: Education, Experience & SkillsBachelor?s degree in information technology, biomedical studies, science, or related major with a Master?s degree preferred.At least 5 years with business solutions strategy experience and at least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role.Requires a minimum of 15 years? experience in IT management, business analysis, consulting, process engineering or solutions management.Experience successfully implementing medium-sized enterprise projects in IT lead role (in 2 or more of the targeted business functions: R, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Clinical or Facilities & Engineering).Requires in-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis and IT processes.Entrepreneurial attitude to drive change and influence innovation.A great communicator in both written and oral communicationProject management experiencePharmaceutical/Biotech experience strongly preferredA clear financial focus that is visible through value based managementAn ability to sit comfortably on multiple management teamsA well-respected team player with proven ability to contribute in a number of areasA passion for quality, compliance and value in all that is deliveredA no-nonsense approach to getting things doneIV: Physical/Mental RequirementsType/keyboard.
