Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has teamed up with its real estate investment client, and is searching for a motivated, Financial Manager (FP&A). The Manager will play will review and evaluate financial data and statements. They will also evaluate processes, identify deficiencies, and implement solutions to bridge the gap using data analytics. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes by performing analyses
  • Develop models to forecast long term growth and determine the impacting business factors
  • Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets
  • Compare and evaluate business results with projections, goals and industry standards
  • Support various finance functions across the organization including project control, financial analysis and forecasting
  • Prepare reports and statements at project and organizational level to outline results, identify risks and recommend enhancements
  • Develop and sustain solid relationships with client personnel and identify opportunities to provide additional services
  • Reviews business performance and provide detailed analysis
  • Examine performance variances, understand key drivers effecting outcomes, and provide decision support to leadership
  • Apply out of the box thinking to develop strategic plans, process improvements and business operations
  • Provide plans to management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability
  • Support other special projects and assignments and performing related duties, as assigned

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related quantitative field is required
  • 4+ years of comprehensive financial planning and analysis experience
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Prior experience writing T-SQL/SQL to query databases; familiarity with R is a plus
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to present ideas to management clearly and work collaboratively with different teams
  • Detail and process oriented; ability to work on multiple deadline driven projects
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex reports, needs and documentations
