The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related ITEMS UFS infrastructure. The System Administrator (SA) will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling mission success.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, and installation for enterprise individuals or organizations.
  • May be expected to check network systems and assist customers at their designated location.
  • Ensure a timely process through which problems are resolved and proper follow up steps are taken.
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
  • Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
  • Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Provide tier one support to end users for either PC or hardware.
  • Interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problems.
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Active CompTIA IAT Level II Certification within 90 days of hire
  • TS/SCI required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities is required.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and fault isolation skills
  • Knowledge of the customer's processes and procedures and production systems, a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to function as a team member and independently
  • Knowledge of remedy to monitor incidents and change requesst opened by end users
  • Active CompTIA IAT Level II Certification within 90 days of hire
