Duties
Summary
The Office of Financial and Portfolio Management (OFPM) oversees efforts to maintain and grow DFC's worldwide portfolio. Portfolio Services is a unit within OFPM, responsible for the administration of DFC's loans, investment guarantees, and insurance contracts, including the determination of contractual interest and fees due to DFC. Through its reports, Portfolio Services is the definitive source for information regarding the quality and diversification of DFC's portfolios.

Responsibilities
Interns will assist in: the preparation of portfolio reports, claim payments, disbursements, administration of all loan and insurance contracts, reviewing project documents for data extraction ensuring accuracy, evaluating current and historical pricing trends, maintaining project files, assisting in the investment of OPIC's reserves for future insurance claims, and other ad hoc tasks as needed. Interns will be exposed to transactions across all of OPIC's product lines, and will work cross departmentally to achieve agency goals.

Qualifications
Applicants must be U.S. citizens enrolled at least part-time in an accredited college or university in a relevant business, finance, statistics, or accounting degree program, with 90 credits or more. Successful completion of a background investigation is also required.

- Must be currently enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment (at least part-time) in an accredited college or university
- Must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation
- Selective Service registration required for male applicants, unless exempt
