Summary

This position is located in the Division of Administration, Human Resources Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The incumbent is responsible for providing assistance to the Corporate Recruitment Program
Manager in planning and carrying out the full range of personnel activities in the area of recruitment for the Corporation nationwide.

Responsibilities

The duties include:
  • Evaluates recruitment data, analyzes trends, costs and program effectiveness; and drafts policies, procedures and guidelines related to the recruitment program.
  • Provides recommendations on attracting, recruiting and selection of a diverse and highly qualified workforce through effective recruitment planning, sourcing, and use of marketing and communications tools.
  • Designs and develops recruitment training, monitors and updates the recruiters' website, and evaluates nationwide efforts to meet hiring goals.
  • Establishes and maintains recruitment networks and alliances with a wide variety of professional, educational and employment communities.
  • Identifies and evaluates outside organizations, institutions, professional associations, colleges, universities and colleagues in specializations appropriate to identify talent pools.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 11 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is planning recruitment activities to include: designing and developing recruitment training; developing and implementing recruitment programs; and establishing and maintaining recruitment networks and alliances with a variety of professional, educational and employment communities to attract and recruit qualified candidates.
