OVERVIEWThis position will be responsible for performing Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: provides guidance and decision support for management on employee-related matters, responsible for assisting HR Business Partners (HRBP) facilitate certain manager informational training programs, under the supervision of the HR Director and HRBP, will respond to employee inquiries and investigates complaints, assist in the administration of the performance management process, oversee recruitment and selection activities, leave administration, compensation administration and benefits inquiries for assigned business areas.S3 has a commitment to excellence and the highest standards of member service. Our values and beliefs are critical to the success and growth of the business and they were all created with a unique cultural foundation.RESPONSIBILITIESServes as a strategic HR partner to management of assigned business areas to ensure that employment policies and practices are applied in a consistent and equitable manner, comply with employment and labor laws, and align with Company values, mission, and objectives. Provides leadership and decision support to management on employee-related matters such as performance management, employee development, corrective action and performance improvement plans, succession planning and terminations and makes recommendations to ensure accuracy, consistency and program integrity and compliance with Company policy, federal and state regulations.Coordinates the talent acquisition efforts for all exempt and nonexempt staff; to identify upcoming staffing needs, create job descriptions and develops a multi-faceted recruitment plan in partnership with hiring manager. Partners with management to identify talent through succession planning, supports and evaluates employment decisions (promotions, new hires, and status changes) for exempt and non-exempt employees and partners with managers to establish the appropriate development plans.Facilitates the termination process for employees who leave the company both voluntarily or involuntarily; conducts exit interviews to determine patterns or trends in employee attrition; and represents the Company at unemployment hearings, as needed.Provides daily support for employees by serving as the first point of contact for all HR related matters such as leave administration, payroll and benefits inquiries.Manages employee complaint resolution process, conducts investigations in an ethical and objective manner, and reports findings to HR Director.Assists the HR Director in the administration of the performance review and salary administration program. Partners with other HR team members on HR related issues and organizational initiatives.Participate in departmental staff meetings and attends other meetings to proactively support structural changes and offer solutions to employee issues.May assist HRBP with the facilitation of periodic training for managerial and staff-level development.Prepare reports and HR metrics for use by members of S3's leadership team in support of strategic initiatives. Maintains confidentiality and exercises a high level of discretion on all matters.Performs other work-related duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related fieldMinimum of five years' experience in the Human Resources field at the exempt level or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in real estate lending or financial services is required. Requires demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations governing employment practices, including Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, etc.Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues. The ability to research and analyze various different type of data information. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely mannerRequires the ability to be tactical as well as partner on strategic efforts as it relates to talent management with ability to respond to changing priorities, and enjoyment of fast-paced, dedicated, technically challenging work environment;Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills are required to work effectively with all levels of management and staffProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessaryExcellent customer service skills with a high attention to detailPrioritize workload based on department requirements and customer needsStrong analytical skills required with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work flexible hours as neededAbility to multi-task in other areas of the unitAptitude to work independently as well as part of a teamPositive attitude and team-orientedAbility to function in changing environment
