Role Summary:We are seeking an energetic and proactive product manager to define the next generation customer-facing experiences and features across mobile/web for our VCI brand. This role will be responsible for understanding customer needs, defining intent and requirements, and translating the vision, value, and viability for the organization. The role will work closely with User Experience, Digital Delivery, and Technology teams to bring experiences to life. This role will also collaborate closely with other internal and external partners (Marketing, Sales, Product, and agencies).Responsibilities:* Prioritize and manage all aspects of the backend product roadmap, informed by consumer insights, driven by KPI-driven decision making, and defined through internal & external collaboration* Develop partnerships across VWGoA and with third parties to inform and facilitate backend product development & integration* Work closely with key business partners to collect requirements, understand business value, understand required capabilities, translate these to technical product requirements and develop business plans* Evangelize the VCI API product strategy, building internal alignment and support at all levels* Collaborate with Operations, IT and other stakeholders to define direction. This direction can include performing analysis, defining requirements, working with teams to develop solutions to meet these requirements, and to test and deliver experiences with the customer in mind* Manage usability and customer research initiatives for innovation projects working cross-functionally with key stakeholders* Managing and identifying risks, mitigation plans, and executive updates* Support usability testing for roadmap initiatives to ensure key business objectives are met* Work closely with Analytics to define success metrics and product KPIs, monitor and optimize the experience* Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure product plans are aligned with objectives/plans and identify improvement opportunities* Establishing product testing plans and building/iterating on roadmaps* Manage the API product backlogRole Responsibilities:* Product Management (70%)* Proactively identify product enhancements to deliver a seamless customer experience* Help discover customer and organizational needs, systems and operations requirements, customer rollout requirements, and usability* Partner users and stakeholders to implement and support agreed upon solutions.* Create and manage a product backlog in order to prioritize user stories for implementation.* Partner with team members to define, track and test user stories in an agile development life cycle* Experience building use cases and technically-focused specifications, data flow diagrams, etc.* Focus on technical elements, including mapping and integrating with multiple systems* Prioritize issues and inquiries. Manage internal escalation and resolution of issues* Manage ticketing process including prioritization and clear documentation* Track and monitor issues; provide regular reporting / analysis* Product and Growth Strategy (20%)* Help gather user input and market trends to define product requirements* Work within an Agile compliant framework and collaborate with partners/business owners to convert strategy and priorities into tangible business requirements, prototypes, design concepts, and feasible product roadmaps* Understanding business implications of decisions in order to align work with strategic goals* Review customer satisfaction results; recommends, designs, and implements personal and business unit action plans* Review, analyze and prioritize Voice of the Customer feedback to incorporate in user stories* Leadership (10%)* Lead development teams to produce creative solutions that deliver results by connecting them to the business teams and product vision* Organize interdepartmental activities to ensure completion of the project/product on schedule and within budgetExperience:Required -* 7-10 years of experience in digital and customer experience product management* 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teamsEducation:Required -* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or EngineeringDesired -* Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or EngineeringGeneral Skills:* Blend of strategic and tactical thinking, creative and analytic reasoning, a deep knowledge of human-centered design, a love of data, and an interest in the auto industry* Passion for identifying and solving real consumer and business problems, and proven ability to prioritize high leverage opportunities to deliver to market* A bias for action and a proven track record of delivering both minimum viable products and scaled solutions within a matrixed organization to market at rapid speed* A passion for and experience of not just launching products, but owning their success and growth* Ability to lead and grow direct teams as well as matrixed partner teams and collaborate across brands and organization* Understanding of the full tech stack required to build and launch scaled products using agile methodologies* Ability to empower designers and developers to deliver great products* Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data and qualitative insights to create exceptional digital experiences* A fantastic storyteller who is at ease presenting to, and can influence executives, peers, and partners* Comfortable working with tight deadlines; must be proactive, self-directed and able to multi-taskSpecialized Skills:Required -* Comprehensive understanding of the latest web and mobile product technologies and user experience best practices* Success in developing strong working relationships across many layers of an organization, outside agencies and suppliers* Experience managing the development and delivery of direct to consumer web or mobile applications* Ability to build, manage and monitor business cases and outcomes for experiences and products* Deep understanding of user-centered product development practices, including journey mapping and design thinking* Knowledge and practice of core principals of Agile methodology and development practices including Scrum, Kanban, Lean software development, etc.* Familiarity and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence for product user stories and agile developmentDesired -* Technical background desired* Extensive experience working with dealers and understanding of dealers' systems and processes* Familiarity with customer data, personalization, and customer engagement metrics sourced from digital marketing channels* Strong writing skills with a proficiency in business requirement documentation, experience writing Agile user stories, business requirement documentation* Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Deployment/Delivery practices, tools and process* Agile / SCRUM skills and certificationWork Flexibility:* Travel 20% of the timeWe are proud to be an EEO employer M/F/D/V.
