As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining the toolsets required to remotely monitor and manage GDTrsquos customerrsquos IT Infrastructure including availability, fault, capacity, performance, etc. You should possess a strong understanding of ITIL and Service Management concepts. You will be accountable for all production servers, networks, applications, and services. Duties and Responsibilities Install and configure VMWare Install and configure WindowsLinux Servers both virtual and physical Install and configure Monitoring and Management tools such as Science Logic Install and configure Antivirus Software such as Symantec and TrendMicro Configure and test Network Devices (routers and switches) and Applications for SNMP and remote access Responsibility for the administration and supporting of the following, but not limited to Windows Active Directory 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019, hardware support and troubleshooting including Cisco UCS, HP, and Dell server hardware and virtualization support troubleshooting in a VMWare environment. You will use your customer service and technical expertise to respond to our clients on the phone remotely troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software related problems In addition, you will be performing scheduled tasks as needed to support our clients and company. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong technical knowledge of Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 to include Active Directory as well as VMware experience is required. Strong Technical experience with Cisco UCS, FI Configuration, VMWare, and Dell Hardware The Ideal candidate will have at least a Bachelorrsquos Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience. Experienced troubleshooting connectivity issues on servers, network devices, and internet connection Experience working with Security devices like CiscoPaloAltoJuniper firewall is a plus. Focus on multiple tasks simultaneously and strong analytical skills will contribute to your success. Must be an effective communicator, both oral and written, and have the ability to manage demands with frequent changes or delays within a team environment. Certifications and Experience Entry-level Microsoft, VMWare, or Cisco certificates like MCPVCACCNA is required Professional level Microsoft, VMWare or Cisco certificates like MCSEVCPCCNP is a plus 3-4 years' experience with system administration is required 5+ years' experience with system administration is a plus.
