Concrete Foreman MUST BE EXPERIENCED AND HAVE TRANSPORTATION TO YARD. NEED TO WORK MONDAY THRU FRIDAY AND WEEKENDS. PHYSICAL AND DRUG TESTING REQUIRED. MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD EQUIVALENT SALARY BASED ON YOUR EXPERIENCE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to read plans. Manages and assists crew with responsibilities to guarantee a complete job in a timely and satisfactory manner ; Ensures that Safety practices are used every day, to ensure worker safety through use of personal protective gear and equipment safety; and to ensure public safety through signage, intelligent site barricading, and good communication; Orders proper amount of concrete and other materials for maximum daily production; Done in conjunction with the Dispatcher; Gives direction to workers in demolition, excavation, grading, compacting subgrade, and installation of new concrete. Supervises through to final clean-up; Obtains "Work Acceptance Form" on each completed job; Purchases authorized materials to ensure compliance with company procedures. Interviews prospective employees; hires, fires, and disciplines employees to ensure a high performance workforce along with Vice President of Operations.; Keeps assigned vehicles and equipment clean and well maintained at all times; Completes administrative paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion; SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Thoroughly reads Contract and related paperwork for each days' job before leaving the yard in the morning. Makes sure that proper equipment, tools and supplies are loaded and taken to the jobsite; Helps keep yard, locker room and Foreman's Office clean; Operates equipment when necessary Performs any and all other types of work that Chamberlain is actively engaged in (Concrete, Sealing, Striping, Excavating, etc.) on an Ad Hoc basis as requested Performs other duties as requested EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED 5 years in industry with 2 or more years of managing crew experience SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Driver's license with good driving record required; Excellent knowledge of work of concrete crew; Good verbal and written communication skills with staff and customers; Ability to understand, to read instructions and to communicate in English; Ability to read plans, cut sheets, take-offs and shoot grades; Team player; ability to work well with others; General knowledge of construction work and its relationship to work of cert crew and other aspects of project completion; Ability to perform and supervise work of other crews; Ability to understand, to read instructions and to communicate in English; Able to perform very heavy work, exerting force in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, or in excess of 50 pounds frequently or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Able and willing to tolerate exposure to conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dust, mist, gasses, and poor ventilation; Able and willing to work outside in all weather conditions; Able and willing to work in a very loud job environment around jackhammers, large earth-moving equipment and heavy traffic; Able and willing to work in a job environment which requires exposure to possible bodily injury from moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools, or machinery Bonus/Commission: No
