Position SummaryPerforms precision dimensional measurements of complex machined parts and assemblies in increments of 0.0001 inch by programming and operating a Zeiss Contura G2 CoordinateMeasuring Machine (CMM) running Calypso software.Interprets the results of the measurements to verify conformity to the requirements of mechanical drawings and CAD Models.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for routine measurement of daily 'in-process' parts and verification of features for setup/initial production pieces. Provides feedback to manufacturing personnel regarding product conformance.Alerts Quality and Production personnel when confronted with non-conforming product.Prepares and maintains files of measurement data.Performs other precision measurement assignments as needed, eg gage calibration.Required SkillsComputer literate - Ability to program the Zeiss CMM, reads and interprets CAD Model files, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.Reads and interprets mechanical drawings including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Chooses appropriate manual measuring tools and gages and uses them for precision measurements.Proficient with higher mathematics - trigonometry.Has Analytical/Problem solving ability.Possesses the conceptual ability to envision partially completed items.Technical Capacity - memory, judgement, intellectual courageQualifications - (The Zeiss Technician will possess the following personal attributes)Self starter- takes initiatives- has a desire to learnOrganizational SkillsTime ManagementExcellent communicatorPatient and professional demeanorAbility to multitask and make good decisions in a busy environment.Ability to work overtime as needed and or have a flexible schedule at timesAbility to work as a team with little supervision.Job Type: Full-timeAdditional Compensation:BonusesWork Location:One location (Reisterstown, Maryland)Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceRetirement planPaid time offFlexible scheduleSchedule:Monday - Friday
