Apex Systems is looking for a UX Designer to join one of our large enterprise level financial clients. This role is remote and is a contract-to- hire opportunity. Moving from insights to ideas, you will creatively solve complex problems, threading design and business thinking together to deliver inventive, durable and thoughtful solutions from concept to launch. In this role, you will need to apply conceptual thinking to create desirable and feasible digital solutions across multiple platforms, smartly bringing together user needs, business goals and technical realities. You'll utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria. You'll apply user-centered design methodologies to ensure your ideas are based on customer needs and you'll prepare research and testing, produce personas, map customer journeys and develop service blueprints for products and services. Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design and design rationale both verbally and visually. You'll use a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (eg storyboards, wireframes, prototypes). You'll use your narration and storytelling skills to bring member centric ideas to life and construct quick interactive prototypes with initial, low fidelity visual designs that illustrate UXUI design that present a realistic feel of the intended experience. You'll be working closely with UX researchers, strategist and designers, business product owners, and digital to deliver breakthrough and highly connected member experiences and design-led innovation at scale and speed. Our approach is multi-disciplinary and our highly skilled, cross-functional team of designers, strategists and agile developers deliver service concepts, experiential prototypes and go-to-market products and features to transform member's lives. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered DesignHuman-Computer Interaction, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience 5+ years of experience with designing web-based experiences that people use daily Experience with modern UXUI design tools like Sketch, Figma Adobe XD or other Advanced knowledge of modern development standards, techniques and methodologies (eg, HTML, XHTML, AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, etc.) A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to maintain and expand consistent brand language across products, digital and marketing assets A self-started who is comfortable with ambiguity You equally enjoy co-creating with users (Members), prototyping and generating MVP designs with quick iteration turnaround as well as pixel perfect deliverable that come afterward You enjoy giving feedback and welcome receiving it. We strongly believe in constructive delivery Ability to conduct user research through interview, analysis, surveys, usability tests, etc. to develop key findings into design tools such as journeys and storyboards Experience working in multi-disciplinary team including user researchers, product owners, agile coaches, developers, and user strategists Holistic and human-centered design from research and insight generation to concept to deliverable Interaction and visual design skills including use of diverse set of software such as Adobe CS, Sketch, OmniGraffle as well as good experience with MS Office Ability to design experiences and interfaces from product vision grounded in user research Proven ability as a solid hands-on practitioner demonstrated through a diverse body of work Able to function, adapt and succeed a constantly changing, fast-paced environment Positive attitude and motivation to deliver the highest quality of work Entrepreneurial, experimental and self-driven while also being collaborative with a professional presence Self-organized and structured with the ability to define your own tasks Advanced Knowledge of UX design principles and ability to apply them Significant experience in design fundamentals, such as color theory, typography and composition Significant experience in interaction design, visual design, and industry standards Significant experience in user centered design processes and best practices Working knowledge of best practices for web and mobile-based content, tools, and forms Ability to interpret requirements into executable design solutions Strong cross-group collaboration and persuasion skills Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a dynamic environment Advanced verbal and written communication skills Significant experience performing analysis of business processes and functions Advanced sill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams managing timelinesdeadlinesresources ensuring successful project implementation Desired Master's degree in Graphic Design, User-Centered DesignHuman-Computer Interaction, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Human Factors Institute Certified Analyst Knowledge of web, mobile and application design EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
