Employee Engagement Assistant (up to 29 hours per week)

The George Mason University Human Resources (HR) and Payroll Office is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to serve as a part-time Faculty/Staff Engagement Assistant. Responsibilities: The primary role of this position includes, but is not limited to the following: * Assist in the planning and execution of large and small faculty/staff engagement events throughout the year; * Prepare marketing materials for faculty/staff engagement events and programming; * Provide support through data entry, gathering data and metrics, and assisting with various employee engagement projects and initiatives; * Assist with the processing of reward and recognition requests; * Assist with the processing of flexible work agreements; * Work collaboratively with other units in HR, as well as the larger university community.

Required Qualifications: * Effective interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including tact and diplomacy; * Ability to prioritize work and willingness to be flexible; * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; * Experience with collaboration and communication with diverse individuals with differing needs; * Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and creating marketing materials.

Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; * Knowledge of Human Resources; * Demonstrated experience with a Human Resources Information System; * Higher education experience.
