Title:Sr. Software EngineerPosition Description:* This candidate will serve as a Senior Software Engineer on-site and full time at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. NRL Solar and Heliophysics branch is seeking a lead flight software developer to develop embedded code for space remote sensing instrumentation.* The engineer will work within a small existing, highly experienced team to develop and test flight software code and modules for state of the art space flight hardware.Position Requirements:* The applicant is expected to have experience in embedded code preferably for space flight or other autonomous systems.* The applicant would be expected to refine and understand code/module requirements, develop and test associated code.* The developer would be expected to document results, present progress and technical status at the various sponsor reviews.
