Their mission is to help clients maintain financial viability and achieving future client goals. Due to growth, they are hiring a Junior Staff Accountant Staff Accountant in their Rockville location. Pay is $60-70k yearly. The leadership team is dedicated to employee success. Job Requirements Overview of the Junior Staff Accountant role: Assist in audit planning and conducting audit fieldwork for both non-profit and for-profit clients Assist in compilation and review engagements Financial Statement preparation and analysis Prepare non-profit income tax returns and business filings General ledger maintenance for CFO clients including bank and other account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and analyzing account balances and budget variances Preferred Qualifications for the Junior Staff Accountant: 1-3 years in the public accounting field Must be actively pursuing CPA license Bachelors degree in accounting (at a minimum, plus the 150 credit hour requirement must be met or actively working towards) Self-motivated and strong analytical ability GAAP financial statement audit planning and fieldwork experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Personable and ability to work well in a team environment Maintain professional demeanor and confidence communicating with clients
