What you will be doing: All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any/all incumbents, with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Analyze the organization's needs, conduct technical research, and implement appropriate solutions to meet needs and comply with department standards Ensure high availability of all critical applications and servers while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Collaborate with technical teams to define, implement, and enhance enterprise monitoring services based on business requirements and Service Level Agreements Develop system monitoring templates and ensure adherence to monitoring standards based on business requirements Implement advanced functions of Office 365 including security, governance, and compliance Work closely with technical teams to detect network faults and performance issues and proactively implement monitoring services and alerts to prevent future occurrences Collect and analyze network monitoring data to assist with determining root cause of performance issues Ensure a rapid response to patch management requirements by assessing risk, devising a plan, and executing plans to all servers, server components, and other devices Establish and validate full functionality of disaster recovery environment for critical business application Develop and maintain technical documentation Communicate and problem-solve daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel Other skills related to building a career in systems administration! Job Requirements:The education and experience we're looking for: Minimum of 7 years' proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a minimum of 5 years' experience maintaining Active Directory in a multi-site environment Minimum of 5 years' experience with MS Exchange, VMware, and MS SQL Experience maintaining and enhancing a patch management program Industry certifications are highly desirable Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience What skills you should have: Manage multiple tasks of varying priorities in a fast-paced, highly technical environment Strong verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences Highly proficient in automating processes and maintaining custom PowerShell scripts Experience configuring and managing secure infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to produce and maintain technical documentation Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering the best outcome for the business and all customers Working knowledge of Event and Incident Management processes Experience in LAN/WAN and data center environments Ability to perform under stress and adapt when confronted with emergency situations Ability to manage time well to meet or exceed customer and management expectations Ability to resolve problems using analytical skills, technical expertise, or research This position periodically requires being on-call outside of normal business hours to support service issues and emergency or maintenance tasks Possesses a high level of integrity Strong business understanding and focus Attention to detail Ability to lift 50 lbs Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
