Description: Christman is a mid-size general contractor headquartered in Michigan with their Mid Atlantic presence in Sterling. They are fast growing and are in immediate need of a Superintendent to run a project in DC. **THIS IS A NIGHT SHIFT POSITION** Superintendent is responsible for supporting project planning, preparing trade contractors, creating a safety climate, organizing project site and logistics, establishing a schedule and keeping project on task and schedule, assuring construction quality control, monitoring, expenses for materials, ensuring subcontractor compliance, communicating with the general contractor and the owner, tracking project progress and events, preparing construction records for clients, establishing lasting relationships with client, owner, and promoting professional development. - They will coordinate and manage a workforce of approx. 20 subcontractors and a crew of 70 people -Will coordinate with day shift Superintendent to ensure continuity of information, decisions and planning between day and night. Multi-trade renovation project Additional Skills & Qualifications: MUST HAVE: 1. At least 5 years of experience as a Superintendent 2. General Contractor experience 3. Good oral and written communication 4. Reliable; able to handle commute / working in DC 5. A "Christman person" from a values standpoint 6. Commerical construction renovations (occupied space) 7. Experience on a multi-trade renovation project (mechanical and electrical preferred) 8. MUST be eligible for a badge thru AOC NICE TO HAVE: 1. Comfortable with use of technology in the field (example: Procore; ipads; etc.) 2.
