Summary Summary: The Program Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and operational support to the development of NGB's future strategic and operational initiatives and plans as they relate to National Guard domestic operations and NG employment concepts, force requirements, organization, training, exercises, JCS joint doctrine and policy, and statutory contexts. Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor daily: Assigned task(s) progress Research and answer POC questions Consolidate all comments Propose potential solutions to each of the inputs provided Perform quarterly Division property reviews and identify any discrepancies or issues on the inventory provided by the J3/7 property officer. Review, update, monitor and perform records management for the storage of physical and electronic file repositories for the Branch and the Program in Government facilities and on Government information systems in the formats and structures the Government provides per SOPs, Directives, business rules, and CNGB Guidance. Research and analyze background information for the NG-J35 in preparation for: CNGB/VCNGB participation in various OPSDEPS and Deputy's Management Action Groups (DMAGs) Defense Planning Guidance (DPG) CJCS TANKs War Games Exercises Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) upon requests for information received in meetings or from the tasker system. Responsible for the following follow-up on: Unclear or partially acceptable proposals for clarification or refinement Confirmation validity of proposed changes with other POCs when required Coordinating between POCs that have provided conflicting comments Providing task responses to the J3/7 PM for approval of proposed solutions Monitor and analyze strategic documents, produced by the DoD and other relevant government entities, to include internal and external stakeholders. Perform tasks that require a gap analyses of past, current, and planned actions, activities, resources, and capabilities of the NG-J35, NG-J3/7, or NGB, including programs and initiatives and supported agency performance expectations. Monitor and analyze training and resourcing documents, (strategies, plans, regulations and guidance), readiness reporting systems, communications, and decision-making materials published by NGB, NG organizations, DoD and other relevant government entities, to include internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and track (approximately 40 per month) tasks and requests for information received through email, meetings, discussions, and tasker systems to include the NG Joint Staff Action Management System (JASMS) Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) High School Diploma/GED required OR Bachelor's degree (in a technical discipline) with 3+ years' experience OR 7+ years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of degree. Direct experience weighted more heavily than specific degree achieved. Secret Security Clearance required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have working knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Ability to demonstrate continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Ability to multi-task in a high stress, performance-based environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Ability to travel as requested or required, based on business needs.
