Job Description Description Job Description: The Electronic Warfare Division of Leidos is seeking a Chief Software Systems Engineer in Arlington, VA. The Chief Engineer (CE) is responsible for all product development/delivery for a complex real-time tactical EW system. He/she oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of complex real-time software as integrated into a system-of-systems EW Suite. The CE applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. He/she supports the Program Manager, by leading algorithmic, software, and systems engineering activities and integrated schedules. Performing these responsibilities will include significant collaboration and coordination with Leidos management, external organizations including customers, subcontractors, and vendors. The CE requires strong skills with proactive communication and the building of collaborative relationships. We are seeking a proven multi-disciplinary leader with experience managing real-time software development within a NAVAIR SETR environment as well as experience using agile techniques and tools. The ideal candidate will understand cost and schedule drivers in support of engineering decisions. They will use their thorough understanding of software engineering, system engineering, software architecture and management principles to effectively execute the technical program. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidates must possess at minimum an active DoD Secret clearance. Required Qualifications: BS or Master's Degree accompanied with 15+ years' related experience.
