DescriptionDecypher is seeking Senior Database Administrator candidates to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) at NSWC West Bethesda, Maryland. In support of this mission, the Enterprise Solutions section (Code 10421) maintains the Carderock Division Intranet (CDI) which is a repository of Division knowledge and computing resources that provides authorized access to web-based information, tools and applications relevant to Carderock Division personnel supporting communication, collaboration and workflow throughout the Division. Decypher is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to diversifying its workforce (M/F/D/V).Required Education* Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or other IT related discipline from an accredited college or universityOR* Nine (9) years of experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator.Required Experience and Skills* Five (5) years of experience as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator.* Solid grasp of relational database theory and operations.* Experience maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of databases.* Experience installing, upgrading and patching the Oracle RDBMS and all its associated products.* Proficient in Oracle 11g and 12 database administration.* Strong hands-on experience with the Oracle RMAN Backup and Restore, Export and Import Data Pump utilities.* Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.* Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with generating SQL code.* Experience with shell scripting for automating regular data loading and other database maintenance activities.* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving installation or application errors.* Advanced Linux System Administration knowledge is desirable.* Knowledge of information assurance compliance and information security basics.Required Baseline IAM Level 1 Certification* CompTIA Security+ CE
