Description Job Description: Leidos is looking for a Systems Engineer for a position in the Chantilly, VA area. This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph in order to be considered. The organization is interested in improving accessibility of its internal IT systems. The need is for a systems engineer/ technical program manager for software development and IT application support. Accessibility in this context includes Section 508 requirements and other reasonable accommodations in application design to make systems more useable for all users. This individual will also serve as a program manager for software development and the IT application support organization. The Systems Engineer will develop and implement a comprehensive accessibility program plan. They will also assess, monitor, report, and coordinate the program plan while identifying reusable best practices. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for tracking accessibility improvement activities, recommending future initiatives, developing enhanced testing procedures, and using the team s JIRA site to manage and track requirements. Mandatory Skills: - Requires a BS and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 10 - 13 years of experience. - Demonstrated experience developing applications. - Demonstrated experience integrating applications. - Demonstrated experience using Agile development methodologies. - Demonstrated experience using DevOps processes. - Demonstrated experience testing applications. - Demonstrated experience building User Interfaces (UI). - Demonstrated experience designing User Experiences (UX). - Demonstrated experience remediating COTS accessibility issues. - Demonstrated experience with Project Management.
