What you will be doing: Analyzing organization s needs, conducting technical research, and implementing appropriate solutions to meet needs and comply with department standards Ensuring high availability of all critical applications and servers while meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA) Architecting and migrating scalable, secure, and stable applications to the cloud and serving as the subject matter expert resource for service delivery areas Reviewing, modifying, developing, and adapting security policies based on challenges posed by a multi-tenant public cloud Managing the overall execution of projects by serving as the technical lead and subject matter expert and being accountable for the project outcome Rapidly responding to patch management requirements by assessing risk, devising plans, and executing plans to all servers, server components, and other devices Establishing and validating full functionality of enterprise backup and disaster recovery environment for critical business applications Managing backup and recovery operations for multiple datacenters Working closely with technical teams to detect network faults and performance issues and proactively implement monitoring services and alerts to prevent future occurrences Maintaining highly secured systems through proper configuration and system access monitoring Developing and maintaining technical documentation Participating in 24x7 on call rotation Performing special projects and other duties as assigned by management Communicating and problem-solving daily with teammates, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders, often in combination with travel Other skills related to building a career in systems administration! Job Requirements: The education and experience we re looking for: Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience 5+ years of relevant experience in Windows Systems Administration and support of Active Directory in a multi-site environment including hands-on responsibilities for enterprise level systems architecture in environments with 500 or more employees 5 + years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows 2012-2019 server operating systems 5 + years of experience administering Exchange Server, with expert proficiency in secure messaging solutions 5 + years of hands-on experience deploying and managing VMware vSphere virtual technology 5 + years of experience with SQL Server, including management of availability groups, database replication, and clustering 5+ years of demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Office 365 workloads such as OneDrive, SharePoint, Exchange, and Skype for Business 3 + years of experience managing SANs, with NetApp experience preferred 3 + years of experience planning and executing projects including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations Demonstrated experience with automation using PowerShell scripting Demonstrated experience using monitoring/manage software such as Solarwinds or ManageEngine to augment IT system operations and storage utilization Experience configuring and managing secure infrastructure and services on Microsoft Azure, including Azure AD Highly proficient in developing and maintaining custom PowerShell scripts Experience with Cisco IronPort, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Box, Duo 2FA, SharePoint, Citrix, Commvault, and Microsoft SCCM a plus Information technology certifications such as MCSE, MCSD, ITIL VCP preferred What skills you should have: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization s workforce while maintaining appropriate confidentiality Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, perform under stress and adapt when confronted with emergency situations Ability to resolve complex problems using analytical skills, technical expertise, or research and deliver innovative cost-effective solutions Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical personnel Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust, along with the ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation including diagrams, procedures, and configuration management documents Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering the best possible outcome for the business and all customers Ability to manage time well with changing priorities to meet or exceed customer and management expectations Strong business acumen and focus in daily activities, with an attention to detail Knowledge and application of best practices of ITIL framework This position periodically requires being on-call outside of normal business hours to support service issues and emergency or maintenance tasks Must be able to travel up to 20% Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move equipment up to 60 lbs Ability to show ownership of your work, take on challenges and acknowledge growth opportunities, and demonstrate patience when learning new processes Courtesy, respect, and thoughtfulness in teaming with colleagues and other stakeholders
