DescriptionAccountemps is looking to full-time a skilled Accounting Clerk for a reputable organization. The Accounting Clerk will chiefly be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary employment based in the Bowling Green, Virginia area.Key responsibilities- Post financial figures to journals and ledgers- Work with Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources- Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codesRequirements- Excellent data entry skills- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines- QuickBooks experience- Computer research experience required- Approved Invoices experience- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plusAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
