CohnReznick has an exciting career opportunity for an Advisory Senior Manager to join in the Government Contract Industry Practice located in our Tysons, VA office (currently working virtually). We are looking for an Advisory Senior Manager in our Government Contract Industry Practice. The Senior Manager will work closely with client management to provide timely, efficient advisory support in the government contracting environment. You will have responsibility to execute a wide range of advisory services on various ongoing special projects with our government contractor clients. The Senior Manager will support the growth of the Government Contract Industry Practice. This position works directly with senior leadership of the firm. If you are: A highly dedicated professional with impressive credentials and driven by new challenges and growth opportunities A team player who believes in providing world-class client service to great clients Looking for a work environment that values and promotes camaraderie, collaboration and leadership We offer: Endless opportunities to contribute to the 11th largest professional services firm in the US A unique culture that values collaboration in everything we do A team of professionals driven by a sense of excellence, integrity, commitment to lifelong learning, respect for one another, adaptability, and making a difference A network of 2,700 professionals committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and giving back to the communities in which we live and work Varied career paths supported by strong professional development programs and resources A flexible work environment with competitive benefits Responsibilities: Your focus will be on the following five areas: Advisory Services Client Relations and Engagement Management Support the Growth of the Practice through Business Development Personal and Professional Development Mentoring and Developing Team Members Specific duties include: Advisory Services Manage business system readiness assessments and mock audits; Experience with EVMS required Review indirect rate structure evaluations and provide alternative rate structures Develop client pricing strategies Manage incurred cost submission and CAS disclosure statement preparations Assist leadership with DCAA disputes and responses Knowledgeable concerning DCAA approaches to conducting audits, as described in the DCAA Contract Audit Manual, Selected Areas of Cost Guidebook, Memorandums for Regional Directors (MRDs) and other sources Provide assistance with DCAA rebuttals and responses to draft reports Supervise the implementation of policies and procedures and internal controls FAR/CAS Compliance Apply Cost Accounting Standards to company accounting practices to determine whether they are at risk of being considered noncompliant with CAS by government auditors Understand and apply the following parts of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to establish whether estimating and accounting practices would comply with relevant FAR sections (Part 15, Part 31, Part 52) Client Relations and Engagement Management Accept responsibility for, and complete engagements in accordance with client time and budget expectations Make effective use of firm resources to complete a project Manage multiple client projects at any given time Promote teamwork and cooperation within the office. Foster effective relationships with clients and referral sources Exhibit strong leadership skills and identify and solve problems in a team environment Work with senior leadership to grow the Advisory business within the Government Contract Industry Practice Oversee team development and scheduling Personal and Professional Development Earn confidence, trust and respect from clients and colleagues Develop technical skills and industry knowledge Demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, creativity and independent thinking Attend local professional and business organization functions, as well as networking events. Participate in presentations on technical matters Represent the firm in a positive and professional manner Demonstrate sound business judgment and participate in the management of the Practice Active participation in CohnReznick internal development programs, including training courses Participate in proposal writing, prospect meetings and oral presentations to secure new clients Provide mentorship and leadership to developing team members Required Skills: Bachelor s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is a plus 10-15 years of recent experience in the government contract industry Extensive experience with Indirect Rates and Incurred Cost Submissions Strong working knowledge of DFARS business system requirements; EVMS experience required Excellent analytical, technical, and advisory skills Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strong technical skills in FAR and CAS Working experience with MS Office applications, especially Excel Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task Ability to travel locally (MD, DC, VA) US Citizen #LI-TK1 #GD #CB
