We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our infrastructure support team. Responsibilities include design, consulting, implementation and support of the enterprise communications environments supporting the company and its customers. Responsibilities: Implement and support the organization s network infrastructure. To include data, voice and video collaboration systems Evaluate current systems and provide recommendations for improvement Daily monitoring of the network infrastructure to ensure availability and performance Daily support and maintenance of LAN / WAN infrastructure, collaboration infrastructure and underlying components, including security evaluation and updates Provide technical guidance and support to junior level staff including troubleshooting of tickets or issues submitted to the network team. Requirements: 5+ Years of relevant experience and bachelor s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) Working knowledge of next generation network technologies including SD-WAN, VXLAN, Next-Gen Firewalls Familiarity supporting enterprise wireless network technologies Experience maintaining VMWare ESX environments Demonstrated experience in the implementation and maintenance of identity and access management systems to include Active Directory Working knowledge of load balancers, reverse proxies and Layer 4 through 7 network devices Familiarity with building and maintaining VPN infrastructure, including site to site and client access Strong understanding of common enterprise networking concepts and protocols including QoS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, VLAN, LACP, OSPF, BGP Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise networks consisting of routers, switches and firewalls from Cisco and competitors Willingness to maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Able to communicate effectively with team members of all levels to include executives, fellow engineers, Service Desk, and salespersons Self-starter and skilled with managing time effectively while working multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Understanding of ITIL processes Some local travel within the DC/MD/VA area may be occasionally required Desired: Experience with network security solutions such as Cisco ISE Experience with Load Balancers / Proxies (F5 Big-IP) Hands on experience with Enterprise Linux platforms to include RHEL Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services and associated networking components Working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and Unity Connection Experience with network signaling protocols including SIP, H.320, H.323, H.264 Hands on experience with Video Conferencing solutions, including TelePresence and WebEx Solutions Experience with Cisco Jabber, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Pexip Current or working towards CCNA or CCNP Iron Bow Technologies is a leading IT solution provider dedicated to successfully transforming technology investments into business capabilities for government, commercial and healthcare clients.
