Senior Associate, Talent Brand Creative Strategy

Through your creative skills across design, copy, video, and photography, you'll deliver outstanding creative expressions of the #LifeAtCapitalOne Talent Brand that spark emotional and impactful connections for our candidates, associates, and communities. Your work will be rooted in insights about our culture and candidate needs, driven by a cohesive creative design system and messaging strategy, and defined by how our creative strategies achieve our talent, brand and marketing goals.

You'll partner with our Talent Brand Strategist to elevate our story, associates, and culture from the inside out- from contributing to our creative strategy, creative exploration, and project managing the execution of all the creative asset deliverables for the Talent Brand & Marketing team. You'll steward the setting of our creative direction for brand and campaign assets, then roll up your sleeves to execute the plans alongside the team and agency partners. You'll leverage your unique creative skillset to consistently strengthen our talent brand, team, business, culture and community.

You'll be responsible for evaluating, planning, and managing creative tools, agencies, and resource utilization for the team, including the intake of requests, prioritization in partnership with the Talent Brand Strategist, project management and resourcing of all creative work. You'll work closely with our Talent Brand Strategist, as well as the entire Talent Brand & Marketing team and partners across the enterprise, to ensure the creative execution of our Talent Brand has a consistent look and feel as it is expressed by multiple partners, across multiple platforms, and in multiple channels, including our Careers website, social channels, media partners, and recruiter resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Deeply understand and champion Capital One Brand standards
  • Advocate for our candidates and Talent Brand - be the outspoken, proactive champion of our Talent Brand look, feel and voice across all partners, channels and throughout every #LifeAtCapitalOne expression
  • Influence Talent Brand strategy and help translate it into detailed design guidelines, ensuring that all agency partners follow design guidelines and brand aesthetic, while influencing the adoption and integration of our standards by partners
  • Partner with Brand Creative and Agency partners to translate business objectives into creative vision, campaign concepts, and creative executions. Develop creative options (visual and copy) for all marketing campaigns.
  • Review all marketing creative work (design, photography and copy) across channels, campaigns, and Talent Brand initiatives to ensure our brand identity is communicated consistently and effectively
  • Guide copywriters to deliver compelling, engaging copy that pairs well with design and aligns with our Talent Brand voice - our copy should be original, authentic and powerful
  • Lead creative resource and agency review (what we get from each of our current resources, where there are gaps, and the quality/expense/speed in which we get it)
  • Lead our creative learning agenda and partner with the broader Talent Brand & Marketing team to understand in-market performance
  • Maintain, update, and continue growing all Talent Brand creative resources, including Talent Brand Toolkit and Recruiter Resources

You'll love your job the most if you:
  • Have a positive yet practical attitude - if we called your colleagues, they'd gush over how much they love working with you
  • Are passionate about showing the connection between our creative brand expression and the positive impact we have and results we achieve
  • Work quickly without compromising quality, knowing that iteration and testing are just part of creating exceptional experiences
  • Take initiative, aren't afraid to fail, ask thoughtful questions, and constantly seek better ways of working and communicating
  • Work collaboratively to prioritize requests and ensure work gets done on time, on budget, and to specification
  • Find satisfaction in connecting the dots and working across teams to meet and exceed project and partnership goals

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in creative development production OR design OR advertising OR digital marketing OR a combination of all four

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Art, Advertising, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • At least 3 years digital agency or brand experience
  • Experience creating, composing, and editing written materials
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After Effects, or other creative and post-production applications
  • Experience with design in the digital and social space, with an understanding of formats required for multiple channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram & Instagram Stories, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok or similar platforms
