Principal Associate, Credit Accounting
We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Credit Accounting team as a Principal Associate. This role will support and represent the Credit Accounting team on a multi-year, enterprise wide project. The ability to develop subject matter expertise and effectively understand upstream and downstream dependencies impacting Credit Accounting will be critical. Additionally, strong communication and interpersonal skills are required as the role involves collaboration with multiple teams across the enterprise, including Accounting, Finance, Risk Management and Tech.
Primary Responsibilities (Credit Accounting Project Team):
- Represent and support Credit Accounting on cross-functional projects
- Build and maintain strong relationships with line of business partners while ensuring adequate and timely communication
- Develop strong technical understanding of Credit Accounting processes and create detailed business requirements for impacted areas. Actively identify opportunities for process enhancement or refinement.
- Provide ongoing support for project development, implementation, and validation activities
- Develop detailed monitoring and communication plan for project
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or military experience
- At least 4 years of accounting experience or at least 4 years of finance experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
- Certified PublicAccountant (CPA)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, project managerial and organizational skills
- Ability to build relationships across teams
- At least 1 year of project management experience
- Experience with programming languages, including Python and SQL
