Principal Process Manager

Capital One is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Process and Risk Management professional with excellent organizational and communication skills. This person will have a high level of exposure across multiple lines of business and the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions while identifying and mitigating potential risks to the Company. In this role, you will support and manage work within Card Technology, and partner with colleagues in Small Business Tech & Canada Tech to deliver results that have a direct impact on customer experience. The successful candidate will be a solid Risk Management professional who understands technology functions and organizations, with strong analytical, planning, strategic thinking, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as interdepartmental advisor, interfacing with technology lines of business and other areas such as Cyber Security, Technical Risk Guides, Business Risk Offices, and Internal Audit; collaborate effectively across multiple organizations to achieve objectives.
  • Analyze and validate information to ensure data integrity, proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements.
  • Drive innovative solutions to develop and enhance reporting and metrics across different LOBs.
  • Track projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of risk activities.
  • Coordinate work between multiple areas and working on multiple projects simultaneously; leveraging / influencing our tech community to drive results.
  • Draft, contribute to, edit, and deliver presentations that aid in the design, development, refinement, and usage of efficient risk management methods.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least4 years of Process Management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Audit, Data Engineering, or Technology Process Management
  • At least 2 years of Agile experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Process Management LEAN certification or Process Management Six Sigma certification
  • 4+ years of experience working within a technical environment
  • 4+ years of experience in Audit, Risk, Compliance or related functions
  • 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Process Manager in a highly regulated industry
  • 4+ years of experience in complex problem solving
  • 4+ years' experience working cross-functionally, individually, leading work among a team, and communicating across all levels of leadership
  • JIRA Kanban management and metrics
