This position serves as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist and is located in the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA), Office of the Chief lnformation Officer (OCIO), Enterprise Voice and Network Service Staff (EVANS), end-user Voice Services team. OCIO is responsible for all United States Attorneys' information technology (IT) operations throughout the 94 United States Attorney Offices (USAOs). EVANS delivers voice and unified communication services along with local, wide, wireless and remote network data transport capabilities via secure, flexible, and robust infrastructure platforms to further mission delivery for U.S. Attorney personnel anytime, anywhere, and in the most effective methods available. Duties include:

-The IT Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for isolating and defining unprecedented conditions and resolving critical cybersecurity issues for the EOUSA OCIO organization.
-Responsible for the day-to-day security and privacy operations of assigned information systems and for ensuring information system security requirements are addressed during an information systems life cycle.
-Provide strategic vision and ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls according to the Security Plan (SP) and Department of Justice (DOJ) policies.
-Provide OCIO guidance, oversight, and expertise related to information security systems, develop security documents, and implement security controls, policies, and procedures.
-Ensure security and privacy assessment and authorization activities for assigned information systems are performed according to the current Risk Management Framework Update (NIST SP 800-37), Security and Privacy Controls for Information Systems and Organizations (NIST SP 800-53), and DOJ Security and Privacy Assessment and Authorization Handbook.
-Prepare and submit initial privacy impact assessments and system of records notice documentation.
-Coordinate changes to the information system with system owners and technical staff and assesses and documents security impact.
-Serve as a member of Configuration Control Boards (CCB) for assigned information systems to ensure cybersecurity requirements are incorporated in change management actions.
-Receive and review vulnerability security notices and other security bulletins requiring acknowledgment and implementation of specified security measures.
-Ensure procedures and processes for controlling access to applications, databases, and networks comply with DOJ and EOUSA cybersecurity policies and regulations.

GS-13: Applicants must have at least on full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in federal service providing technical and programmatic leadership on IT security issues, ensuring the security of installed and proposed IT systems comply with applicable laws and regulations, and managing initiatives to enhance implementation of information systems (IS) security for all new and deployed systems.
