Aerotek is looking for an Estimator for a general contractorDescription:Aerotek is looking for a backfill to an Estimator position. This position will be directly supporting the owner with estimates. - Position will be responsible for coordinating bids from subcontractors. -80% supporting with estimates and 20% Project Management Support- Participates in the generation of new business leads, development of marketing collateral and promotion of Company's services;- Attends pre-bid meetings and site inspections to participate in determining best match for company capabilities and to prepare full, accurate and complete bids;- Performs material and labor take-offs, translates construction documents, researches material and project means and methods;- Understands project scope of work, specifications and regulatory compliance requirements and coordinates RFIs;- Performs proposal technical writing and prepares professional, effective presentations, correspondence and reports;- Solicits competitive bids from subcontractors and suppliers on behalf of estimators;- Assists estimators in generation of competitive bids and prepares and delivers bid packages;- Tracks bidding activity and maintains bid logs;- Participates in pre-construction process from award notice through stable hand-off to assigned project execution team;- Performs coordination for permits, certifications and licenses;- Participates in identifying improvement opportunities for quality of work and cost efficiencies;- Nurtures relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and industry professionals;Skills:Construction, Estimating, Estimation, Construction Documents, Construction Management, Project Engineer, assistant Project Manager, Estimating Assistant, ProcoreTop Skills Details:Construction DocumentsEstimationBID DocumentsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:-Working knowledge of construction management scheduling and estimating softwares.
