Ref ID: 02000- 119 Classification: Accounting Clerk Compensation: $18.41 to $21.36 hourly Accountemps is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk. The primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk will include but not be limited to assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, and general forms of data entry. This is a short-term temporary position based in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Major responsibilities - Post financial information to journals and ledgers - Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit - Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes - Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing - Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects - Rectify discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required - Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a wide range of sources Job Requirements: - 3+ years of relevant experience - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical - Accounts Payable (AP) experience - Deep understanding of cash reconciliations - Expertise in Microsoft Excel - NetSuite experience is a must - Adeptness in bank reconciliations - Record Cash experience highly desired - Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested - Accurate, swift, data entry abilities - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
