About the Position: The mission of the DHA EODM is to oversee the Diversity and Inclusion Management, Military EO, Civilian EEO, Complaints, and Civil Rights programs, which collectively promote equal opportunity and diversity inclusion management; and help prevent unlawful discrimination and harassment throughout DHA and its programs and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as principal advisor to the Market Director and staff, and manages the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management (EODM) program.
  • Briefs Market Director and senior staff to resolve identified problems on a case-by- case basis, or as needed to discuss controversial or unprecedented EEO program matters.
  • Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates EEO programs.
  • Drafts EODM State of Agency Briefing and presents to Market Director and senior staff annually.
  • Reviews EEO policies and objectives established by higher authority and develops local guidance, directives, and implementation procedures.
  • Manages and implements EEO training requirements per Federal law, regulations and policies, for the Market workforce.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled committee meetings to identify deficiencies, and determine course of action for designated ethnic groups.
  • Drafts and submits required complaint reports in compliance with Federal laws, and regulations, to include EEOC 462 Report, OPM No FEAR Act Report, and OPM Age Act Report.
  • Maintains a close working relationship with Human Resources (HR), and Office of General Council (OGC) staff to obtain technical personnel advice relative to EEO cases or issues that involves interpretation of personnel regulations or principles.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience Requirements GS-13: Experience developing and implementing organizational Equal Employment Opportunity programs; experience analyzing regulations and policies for impact of Equal Employment Opportunity programs and/or to provide high level customer service; experience providing advice on individual and systemic discrimination; and experience processing reasonable accommodations requests.
