Type of Requisition:RegularClearance Level Must Currently Possess:NoneClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:NoneSuitability:DHS EODPublic Trust/Other Required:Job Family:Systems AnalysisJob Description:GDIT is seeking a Sr. System Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC.Contract requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain DHS public trust.Job ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.Establishes and defines program plan requirements and performs in-depth studies to determine optimum program plans.Supports in the development of progress and status reports, management dashboards, briefing materials, etc.Performs a variety of complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program.Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.Participates in special projects as required.Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.Additional Requirements:* Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required.* Outstanding time management and organization skills required.* Must be a self-starter.* Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment required.* Familiarity in developing project management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools, and templates) preferred.* Proven experience managing customer expectations during professional service engagements or software implementations required.* Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical parties required.* Hands-on process and systems analysis experience in large, complex programs and experience in creating and supporting program management offices required.* Previous Java programming experience a plus, but not required* Existing DHS EOD a plusScheduled Weekly Hours:40Travel Required:NoneTelecommuting Options:Some Telecommuting AllowedWork Location:USA DC WashingtonAdditional Work Locations:We are GDIT.
