Job DescriptionPeraton is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer in our Chantilly, VA office in support of various DoD and Intelligence Community programs. Responsibilities: * Design and develop software in a team-oriented environment. * Specific focus of development activities revolves around generating web-based user interfaces deployed into customer cloud environments. * This involves performing code development, reviews, testing, and troubleshooting of software. * Support deployment and DevOps activities for software. Required Qualifications: * You hold an active TS/SCI security clearance at minimum and maintain said clearance thereafter. Must be able to obtain a polygraph after hire. * You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or System Engineering, or related field. * You have experience working as a Java/J2EE or C++ programmer. * You have a solid foundation with object oriented development paradigm and understanding of the engineering life-cycle. * You have a minimum 5-years of software development experience. Desired Qualifications: * Understand development methodologies, preferably Agile. * Are familiar with any or all of the following: design methodologies, UML, development and CM tools, J2EE, SOA, web services, web development technologies and frameworks (eg Spring), Java application and persistence frameworks, Oracle and/or MySQL, database design and implementation, web services security, and/or peer-to-peer networking architectures.
