Job DescriptionPeraton is seeking an Aerospace Engineer in Chantilly, VA to support our Intelligence Community and DoD customers as part of a highly talented, highly motivated and high-performing team. As part of the Test Engineering team you will support an exciting program which involves design, development, test, and deployment of an exciting and complex system in an Agile construct to contribute to mission success for a variety of stakeholders. Responsibilities: Work with emerging service and distributed computing technologies for satellite situational awareness, data processing and distribution as a member of our software development/systems integration teams. Perform modeling and simulation activities to generate test data sets, evaluate algorithms, and participate in software test & integration efforts. This role will focus on test scenario development and simulated data generation. Required Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI security clearance and maintenance thereafter is required. * Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, related field. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree. * 8+ years of verifiable, related experience * Operations or testing experience required to include modeling and simulation activities, generation and maintenance of test data sets, and support test procedure development and test execution. * Must have experience performing modeling and simulation of satellite and/or space situational awareness systems. * Must have experience with aerospace modeling and simulation tools such as: STK, GMAT, SOAP, or others. * Experience working with the software development and test teams to understand the software and resolve any issues or bugs that arise. * Knowledge of Jira as well as efficiency on Microsoft Windows office products such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Desired Qualifications: * Familiarity with RHEL and Linux command-line administration. * Experience with Java to help troubleshoot, investigate and understand sources of problems in code to support software development teams. * Familiarity with current IC systems and associated policies/procedures, with an emphasis on supporting test planning, test procedure development and test execution. * Familiarity with the operations of current IC systems, their operations, and their operational CONOP.
