Business Intelligence Analyst
Our client is a nationally recognized organization that would likely allow for remote work, hiring a Business Intelligence Analyst. Description: The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for creating ad hoc and self-serve reporting leveraging Tableau and Excel. They should be able to execute job responsibilities independently and with the understanding of how output would affect and impact other operational areas. This person will help define and build customer facing reporting for a new business line. General Responsibilities Utilize Tableau to deliver advanced analytics and reporting to our customers (external and internal); evaluate and learn new technologies as appropriate Communicate effectively within the development, analyst teams and end customers interpret data and communicate around progression measures Actively participate in requirements definition and refinement, and provide consultation to ensure the correct solution is applied to the request Deliver accurate and reliable work effort/time estimates Ensure work management systems are kept up to date with progress on projects and tasks Develop objects, processes, and practices with a focus on reusability and efficiency Cross train and develop/mentor less experienced team members Report/Dashboard Development Leverage UI/UX best practices to develop reporting solutions for internal and external customers Design and implement reporting options including custom visuals Create tables and visualizations to provide meaningful and actionable information Create self-serve solutions that are scalable across users and departments Minimize technical debt and maximize performance of reports and dashboards Quality Assurance Perform code inspections and refactor code to meet standards Use best practices to build out audit capabilities in a multiple database environment Production Support Cooperate with our technology departments to deploy software and hardware upgrades as necessary Respond to cases, bugs and issues brought to attention in our issues management systems or through other notifications Manage data quality as necessary to resolve discrepancies and/or reconcile results Top Skills Details: Tableau Microsoft Office Database Experience Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access) Experience with databases ideal (SQL Server 2014 + and Oracle 12g +) Experience with Tableau SQL / Transact-SQL development skills Strong sense of teamwork, active listening skills and negotiation and influencing skills 3- 5 years of experience Experience Level: Intermediate Level About Aston Carter: Aston Carter is a distinguished global provider of recruitment and staffing services to companies requiring highly specialized business professionals.
