ABOUT THIS POSITION Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/ network devices, etc. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to appropriate team members. Provides support for hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages Linux and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Responsible for the administration of one or more of the following data systems: Computer systems hardware, software, information systems & peripheral equipment's such as servers, desktops, printers and storage devices. Maintains, installs, upgrades and configures data systems, administers operating systems, and maintains basic security and recovery procedures such as scheduling and backups. Under general supervision, solves complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices. Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes. May provide guidance to less experienced team members.
