Lead Electrical Engineer
**Description:**Our client is looking to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer for the Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) delivered to the United States Navy (USN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.*They're looking for candidates with strong skills in Electrical Design, Cable Design, Leadership, with DOD Secret Clearance **Your Role:-EE Lead responsible for the successful execution of the Electrical Engineering efforts for the program-Lead a small team of EEs through the development lifecycle of electrical requirements analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis, design, development, integration, and test.-Provide root cause analysis for electrical issues, evaluate and implement solutions to resolve those issues using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools-Perform detailed research and technical analysis to design and lead the team to develop cable drawings and schematics (vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, manuals, etc)-Lead the team to generate and maintain electrical documentation (plans, specifications, design documentation, etc)-Substantial contribution to electrical and cable reviews of components, equipment, and systems-Evaluate vendor capability to support product development-Travel may be required to support root cause analysis and system integration-Keep abreast of technology trends-Support new business development, proposals, cost estimates for yearly tasking-Lead by example with strong work ethic and ability to multi-task in a collaborative (team) environment-Effectively communicate issues, impacts, and corrective actions-Provide Engineering briefs for program leadership and customersRequired Skills:- minimum of 5 years of experience-AutoCAD-Leadership with ability to plan and generate engineering schedules-Proficient in PDF Redline mark ups to review and instruct changes to other engineers-Proficient use and understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts, principles, and theories-Strong understanding and experience with EE design and manufacturing standards (IEEE, UL, MIL-STD, etc.)-Strong understanding and practical experience with Power and EMI/EMC requirements and corresponding MIL-STDs (eg MIL-STD-461)-Experience and working understanding of power systems, power supplies requirements, including 3 phase power-Experience with operating standard test equipment and/or development of custom test equipment-Solid experience with electrical requirements testing, verification, and test procedure development and generation-Grasp and apply new information quickly and effectively handle complex assignments-Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills-Microsoft Office Products-DoD Secret Security Clearance**Skills:**Electrical, Autocad, Design, Electrical design, Electrical engineering, digital design, cable design, windchill, creo, digital signal processing, full life cycle development**Top Skills Details:**Electrical DesignCable DesignLeadership**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Any Of These Skills Would Be A Plus!-CREO-Windchill-ARCI or SWFTS submarine system development-SONAR and Towed Array knowledge and experience-AN/BQQ-10 SONAR system-Digital Signal Processing-Large System Integration (preferably Navy DOD environment)-Experience with various disciplines of systems engineering (HW, SW, ILS, etc)-Experience with DTC/DTUPC (Design to Cost/Design to Unit Production Cost)-Agile/DevOps Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)-Agile certifications or equivalent experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner-Preparation of BOEs (Basis of Estimates) and ROMs**Experience Level:**Intermediate Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
