Description:+ Achieves accounting operational objectives by contributing financial and accounting information and recommendations to assist management in the following activities: strategic planning and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving financial problems; completing audits; identifying financial trends; determining system improvements; reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.+ Meets accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.+ Confirms financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; preparing special reports.+ Maintains accounting controls by maintaining the chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures; properly enforcing segregation of duties.+ Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy, applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.+ Avoids legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation; enforcing accounting regulations; recommending new procedures.+ Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.+ Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.+ Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning department employees, which includes Saturday coverage.+ Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records for Owners and work with third-party accounting professionals. + Manage commercial banking relationships.+ Work in conjunction with Owners and HR Manager in the development and economic evaluation of various staff benefits. + Supports audit and tax functions without outside CPA firm.+ Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction; other duties as assigned.Additional Skills & Qualifications:+ Education: Candidates should possess a 4-year college degree, or any equivalent and 5+ years work related experience in accounting and management, preferably in the produce industry..+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and QuickBooks. + Payroll experience is required.+ Manufacturing experience is a PLUSINTERVIEWS ARE HAPPENING NOW!About Aston Carter:Aston Carter is a distinguished global provider of recruitment and staffing services to companies requiring highly specialized business professionals.
