Aerotek's client is actively looking for a Maintenance technician for a long term opportunity with our client in the Gaithersburg MD area. This will be a first shift opportunity **starting around 6am - 8am and end 3pm - 5pm** and include comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision and 401k.**JOB DESCRIPTION**+ Perform basic HVAC, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, electronic, masonry, and plumbing repair and maintenance work.+ Conduct routine operational checks and inspections of machinery and equipment; detect malfunctions; diagnose and troubleshoot basic equipment and operating problems; perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.+ Inspect buildings, structures, and fixtures; perform preventive maintenance or repairs when required.+ Paint offices, furniture, hand railings, building exteriors and ceilings, etc.+ Install and assemble furniture, cabinets, panels, and other office equipment; hang pictures and shelving.**QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of maintenance experience and High School Diploma is required.* Maintenance experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical company with direct experience with GMP facility operation is preferred but not 100% needed.* Demonstrated understanding of carpentry and general maintenance needed to handle a GMP facility such as: HVAC, electrical, process systems, plumbing/piping, general maintenance, pest management, both interior and exterior.* Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate dependability and timeliness.* Able to prioritize multiple task/priorities and the ability to work under specific time constraints are required.**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
