Job DescriptionMinimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Job Description: If you're hungry to leverage your existing system administration subject matter expertise and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) expertise to help protect our nation's systems while you continue to sharpen your skills and collaborate with our existing system administration and DCO subject matter experts, we have the perfect position for you to start your new career path at Parsons! We are looking for a systems administration subject matter expert to sign up for our team on an upcoming bid, joining the new program once we win the effort in January 2021. One the work starts, you'll get to use your system administration expertise to help protect our customer's computers and networks, including coming up with new and innovative ideas and practices to improve the security of our customer's networks. You'll use monitoring and provisioning software such as Puppet, Negios, Ganglia, and Xymon (Hobbit) to help automate system administration deployment and monitoring tasks. You'll be supporting a pivotal research and development mission to help innovate and deliver future technologies to ensure a bright future for our armed forces. Before the work starts, we'll enroll you in our Career Acceleration Preparation (CAP) program, where we will help: - Prepare you for the future opportunity by sharing technology tips and information, knowledge about the work environment and ways you can best come in and hit the ground running, and information to continue to hone your existing skills and even gain new ones to ensure you're ready for this challenge. You'll get invited to our bi-monthly Cyber Capture The Flag events (that we've been running for over 4 years now), CAP Program-only tech talks and interactive training events, Parsons-generated offline training classes / videos, and access to our Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) acceleration program to help accelerate your DCO skills to the next level! You'll also get a chance to help share your expert-level skills back, mentor others, and get your own mentor (if you're interested). Required Qualifications: - 12+ years of experience in the cyber realm (or 10+ years of experience with a MS, or 7+ years of experience with a PhD) - Experience with system administration of both Windows and Linux operating systems - IAT II Certification - Active Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: - Experience supporting research labs or other R&D missions / teams - Experience as supporting or being a part of a CSSP - Familiarity with Puppet, Nagios, Ganglia, and Xymon (Hobbit) - Network Firewall experience - Engage you regularly, keeping you abreast of all the great things you'll get once you start at Parsons, inviting you to special events just for folks in our CAP program, and giving you a chance to experience our amazing culture and engage with our subject matter experts, managers, and other CAP program members.
