Work Hours Normal work hours are 8am to 430pm, Monday through Friday however, individual must be available during a variety of operational hours (including some evenings andor weekends as neededscheduled). Individual must be available for occasional multi-day overnight travel as neededscheduled. Physical Ability Individual must have the ability (with reasonable accommodation) to transport hisherself and the company equipment to designated locations throughout the state. Individual must have the ability (with reasonable accommodation) to lift personal computers, printers, cash drawers, scanners, tables, chairs, and other equipment associated with a standard computer workstation, andor a meetingtraining room setup. Individual must have the ability (with reasonable accommodation) to move freely through a trainingsupport environment as needed. Driverrsquos License Individual must possess a valid driverrsquos license and a method of transportation to arrive at each designed work location as scheduled. Skills, Abilities, and Experience Advanced end user knowledge of Microsoft Office (all current versions, including Microsoft 365). A high degree of comfort working with and configuring Windows operating systems, including Windows 10. Aptitude to become proficient with commercial and non-commercial software and hardware used by the Comapny. Extensive experience providing tech support for remote training using platforms such as GoToWebinar and Zoom. Experience editing videos using software applications such as Camtasia. Ability to provide technical support related to onsite or remote training, meeting, and conference space for the Company. Advanced computer hardware setup and software configuration capabilities. Ability to track, maintain, and manage software renewals. Ability to maintain and manage inventory of Judicial College hardware and software assets in a detailed, organized, and complete manner. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Interpersonal skills that include the patience, tact, and diplomacy needed to work effectively with both technical and non-technical end users, project managers, senior officials, judges, and designated points of contact. Ability to identify and assist in troubleshooting user-defined problems. Preferred ndash Microsoft or other technical certifications issued within the last five years. Essential FunctionsDuties The technical assistant will work within the Coampanyunder the supervision of the manager of Technology Education andor designated individual(s) to provide advanced technical support for training and other educational events, and technical equipment expertise when needed for events within the Annapolis Complex (as well as other locations throughout the state). Provide general hardware and software technical support for staff Provide technical support for remote training sessions provided by the Company Edit recorded webinars and videos using video editing software Maintain and manage technology equipment and software inventory, including IP addresses, MAC addresses, disk images, user account settings, laptops, desktops, projectors, mobile devices, and other hardware andor software used for training by the Company. Track, manage, and maintain software renewals for the organization and communicate as needed with leadership Have primary responsibility for the physical and technology configurationsetup of all training environments that are used by the Department for technology related training in the Annapolis Complex and other locations, administrative, or conferencemeetingtraining locations throughout the state of Maryland Visit locations in advance of training events for the purpose of working with the designated points of contact to identify suitable training facilities, photographically document the environment, and identify phone and data capabilities (or lack thereof) Create detailed site visit reports to include measurements, data port namesnumbers, IP addresses, and recommended layout for anticipated number of trainees. Provide equipment installation oversight, as well as the production and delivery of necessary supplies and materials for technology training events Assist with providing technical support for internal and external stakeholders utilizing meeting space at the Office (including AV equipment) and Perform other duties as neededassigned. Resource Management Notations Members of the office team and other key stakeholders must be able to screen and accept or reject all proposed candidates before any work begins. Face to face andor virtual meetings with key organization leaders will be part of the proposal screening process. Travel Expenses
