Position Overview:

Enterprise Supply Chain (ESC) within the Finance Division is searching for a Risk and Controls Senior. The hired candidate will work in support of ESC which provides a broad range of support services to Freddie Mac's overall procurement lifecycle.

In this role, the Risk and Controls Senior will be responsible for executing process controls testing within ESC's four business groups: Accounts Payable Operations, Contractor Workforce Operations, Supplier Risk Management, and Procurement. This position will design, develop and facilitate control testing for ESC as an audit-preparedness function. It will also assist in the development and maintenance of testing documentation and management reporting.

  • Our team is responsible for evaluating ESC's control environment holistically to mitigate risk throughout the procurement process.
  • The team has oversight responsibility for ESC's four (4) business groups: Accounts Payable Operations, Contractor Workforce Operations, Supplier Risk Management, and Procurement
  • As a team we mitigate risk by building effective partnerships, optimizing operational resiliency and enforcing sound risk management practices.

Your Impact:
  • Understand the end-to-end compliance of ESC processes to ensure controls are in place, testing of controls is performed, and feedback provided for corrective / preventative actions (self-audit our own processes) to mitigate risk
  • Partner with process owners to develop ongoing method for testing controls, providing feedback on gaps, and follow-up on remediation plans
  • Partner with ESC business partners to create best-in-class processes that support the overall procurement lifecycle
  • Challenge ESC operations teams to appropriately manage their processes to mitigate risk
  • Develop and prepare timely, accurate and effective risk control analysis and documentation of control test findings

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
  • 5-7 years related experience in Compliance, Risk Management, or Audit
  • Familiar with Internal Audit function, Testing or Risk Management concepts
  • Effective project management and presentation skills
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
  • Experience managing challenging stakeholders
