Freddie Mac's Single-Family division is in the process of building a dedicated team to explore innovative solutions to address challenges faced by Minority and Underserved Communities. This role will assist in leading the team to understand the issues that these communities face in gaining awareness and understanding of the potential and benefits of Homeownership, while creatively exploring solutions to break-through historical barriers to achieving and retaining sustainable housing. The team will utilize traditional and modern innovation methods, such as Human Centered Design, Data Science and Market Research to approach these long-standing issues uniquely and comprehensively through disruptive concepts ranging from policy to digital solutions. To enable diversity of experience, thought, and synergies in innovation, the team will be comprised of individuals from varied backgrounds.

Your Impact:
  • Provide leadership to develop new strategies and move them from concept development into testing and broader implementation.
  • Review market research and analysis in support of new offerings
  • Prepare business cases, term sheets, work plans, issues logs and utilize other project management tools in the development of assigned projects
  • Keep abreast of best in class market participants and current trends and provide insights into product, technology and market trends
  • Integrate human center design techniques into the lean startup methodology
  • Develop and define business model experiments centered on desirability, viability and feasibility assumptions
  • Define metrics and criteria for measuring results from experiments
  • Report of KPI on concepts to Stakeholders.
  • Participate in ethnographic and contextual research when necessary
  • Coach internal team members to leverage lean startup through an incubation pipeline

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience; Typically has 5-7 years of working experience with lean startup methodologies, agile development methodologies, human center design
  • 3+ years of working experience with shipping successful products, including defining vision, strategy, outcome-driven product roadmaps and creating and managing backlogs
  • 3+ years of working experience with articulating and testing product hypotheses
  • Demonstrated ability to define and track KPIs and other measurable success criteria
  • Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
  • Understanding of leading technology trends (AI, Blockchain, IoT, AR/VR)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt your communication style for the audience
  • Ability to facilitate collaborative decision-making in a workshop context
  • Experience communicating with senior stake holders
  • Strong understanding of technology, software, and product trends
  • Familiarity with data products and working with data scientists
