Director, Agile Development

Freddie Mac is seeking an Agile Development Director to drive the team and organizational direction on solutions & architecture! In this role you'll need to have the full stack covered with all key modern languages under your belt. You're going to have to get into all parts of the code, as well as implement some of it.

• Drive critical delivery of Agile Development for our Digital Transformation Program for the Multifamily Business
• Make critical Engineering & design decisions that impact the outcome of how we "re-imagine our business" and its relative processes to make us more effective & efficient to our external clients

Your Impact:

• Drive the technical strategy and vision for the area, valuing simplicity and willing to challenge technical constraints to achieve a solid design
• Be the executor as well as the visionary force behind the technical solution
• Accountable for the delivery of quality software, which is aligned with enterprise architecture, performance, maintainable and accurately deployed
• Lead a small group of developers
• Mentor the teams driving full (and accurate) adoption of modern software engineering & Delivery practices (12 Factor, Agile, BDD, Stateless Design, Microservices, Containerization, etc.)
• Establish relationships with the business to drive out solutions aligned with a strategic vision
• Manage relationships with key Technology and Business partners
• Constantly look for better ways of solving complex technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Work with the Chief Product Owner for building reusable and scalable components

Qualifications:

• Previous experience driving out transformations from Waterfall to Agile methodology
• 7-10 yrs of leading High performing Agile teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred
• 10-15+ years of experience engineering awesome solutions and 5-7 Years Leading modernized development teams
• Know the modern approaches as well as where the landmines are
• Exhibit deep knowledge and experience in designing for and implementing solutions in the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) ... this can range from custom code on IaaS/PaaS to SaaS solution integrations
• For this specific role you will have to have a very strong background integrating and delivering CRM solutions using the Microsoft Dynamics Platform.....deep knowledge of this platform is a must!
