Responsibilities

  • Develop and align enterprise architecture with business processes, plans, and programs.
  • Organize and lead architectural working group sessions to capture business processes and information exchanges as EA products.
  • Manage assigned teams and projects, and communicate complex program management mandates, technical requirements to both technical and nontechnical personnel.

Qualifications

All qualification and eligibility requirements must be met by the announcement closing date.

You may start at GS-14 @ $122,530, if you meet the following minimum qualification requirements:

Specialized Experience - Specialized experience is defined as at least one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the private sector planning, developing, managing, performing strategic execution, and maintaining Enterprise Architectures, to include Technical, Data, and Business Architectures. Examples may include: Developing and/or managing application architectures, data architectures, technical infrastructure architectures, or business process analyses; developing multi-environment architectural designs, including cloud computing and cross-cloud architectures; and developing enterprise architecture artifacts and documentation in accordance with the Common Approach to Federal Enterprise Architecture - Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF).

Applicant must submit a writing sample of at least 2 pages, but no more than 10 pages of an enterprise architecture documentation, such as standards, methodologies, architectural analyses, technology, or business strategies.

In addition to the above, your experience must demonstrate the following competencies:

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Veterans Opportunity to Work Act (VOW) : If you are currently serving on active duty you MUST submit a statement of service from your unit (on unit letterhead) identifying the branch of service, period(s) of service, campaign badges or expeditionary medals earned, type of discharge, character of service, and the date you will be separated or be on approved terminal leave. If you provide a statement of service at this stage, your preference/eligibility will be verified by a DD214 (Member 4 Copy) upon separation from the military.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Programs: CTAP and ICTAP candidates must submit documents showing eligibility for selection priority (e.g., RIF separation notice, Certificate of Expected Separation, or other proof of eligibility for priority selection); an SF-50 showing the current (or former) position, grade level, promotion potential, and duty location; and the most current performance appraisal including the performance rating.
